Toddler Time Program

Learn, Share, Grow

Philosophy

At DCP, we believe that hands are key to learning, so we create a classroom where children can explore and grow. Kids choose from a range of thoughtfully prepared materials.

Program Details

At DCP, our Toddler Time program is rooted in the belief that even our youngest learners grow best through meaningful play and exploration. Toddlers learn with their whole bodies—through touching, moving, observing, and interacting with the world around them. During Toddler Time, children build early social skills, strengthen motor development, begin practicing language, and learn to navigate emotions in a safe and nurturing setting.

Enrollment

Offered once a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 am, each session is limited to 7 children, and kids must be 2 years old by August 1st to enroll.

Our program runs for 32 weeks during the school year from September to May, with breaks for Fall, Winter, and Spring holidays, aligning with the Delaware City Schools calendar. We do not offer wraparound or summer care. Because DCP does not have rolling enrollment, we do not accept new registrations after early October to keep our classes consistent and cohesive. DCP does not have a provider agreement with Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC).

Ms. Jenn studied education in college, establishing a strong academic foundation for her work with young children. Her commitment to fostering the growth and development of young learners is reflected throughout her teaching. As a former DCP parent and board member, she brings valuable insight and firsthand experience to her role as a Toddler Time teacher, enriching the learning environment with both professional knowledge and personal perspective. Before joining our team, she spent more than a decade working as a professional nanny, cultivating her expertise in early childhood care and education. Outside the classroom, Ms. Jenn enjoys visiting parks with her family, volunteering in the community, and running races.
